WVB observes cleaning campaign in Dhaka

World Vision Bangladesh Urban Programme and the ward’s waste management committee of the city corporation jointly organised the campaign.

A cleaning campaign was held in ward no. 39 of Dhaka North City Corporation on Tuesday morning, said a press release.

The campaign was led by Md Shafiqul Islam Basek, councillor of ward no. 39 and Nilufar Yasmin Eti, women councillor of wards no. 38, 39, and 40.

More than 80 participants cleared the waste-materials on the roads and also created awareness among people to refrain from dumping waste on the roads.

Councillor Md Shafiqul Islam Basek said, "We should keep our neighborhood clean, and it is our responsibility to aware people about it. The drive does not end today, it will be continued for the years to come."

World Vision Representatives Program Officer Jony S. Gomes also present on the occasion.
