Walton introduces AC series with offline voice command feature

Walton on Thursday introduced a new series of split type air conditioner which has an offline voice command function.

Users can control the air conditioners of the 'Oceanus' series with voice commands without having to use the remote control feature, read a press release.

These ACs from the new series are also designed with energy-saving inverter technology. They also have other features including UV (Ultra Violet) care and Frost Clean Technology.

Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited (WHIL) Director S M Mahbubul Alam unveiled the new series at 'AC Service Experts Meet 2021' at the WHIL headquarter at Chandra in Gazipur on Thursday.

Engineer Ariful Islam gave instructions about operating the newly launched air conditioners. He said that offline voice command can be operated with a voice command while having the power connection after AC installation and the AC will be in standby mode when power is connected.

"Saying 'Hello Walton' at this time will turn on the AC's 'Active Mode' and then with the command 'AC start,' it will start. At this time, the user will be able to operate the AC with instructions. To set a specific temperature, the user would have to say the desired temperature with the command 'Cool Mode,' Ariful continued.

"If the user says 'Twenty degrees,' then the AC temperature will be set to 20 degrees. To turn off the AC, the user will have to give the 'AC off' command. However, if there is no command from the user for 10 seconds, the AC will go into the standby mode. Then, the user will need to turn on the active mode again following the same process," he added.

The UV (Ultra Violet) Care technology of the new series will destroy bacteria and viruses spread in the indoor air and the 'Frost Clean Technology' will automatically melt the ice inside the AC and remove it, which would make the usage and maintenance much easier.

Walton AC's CEO Tanvir Rahman at the launching ceremony said, "Walton started to produce AC in their factory in Bangladesh in 2010. We have a strong R&D (Research and Development) division consisting of engineers from home and abroad who are continuously working to bring sophisticated technologies as well as ACs with advanced features at regular intervals."

Over thousands of air conditioner servicing experts attended the event.

Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited Deputy Managing Directors Alamgir Alam Sarker and Humayun Kabir, Walton AC's Chief Executive Officer Tanvir Rahman, Chief Technical Officer Walter Kim, Executive Directors S M Zahid Hasan, Uday Hakim, Yusuf Ali, Amin Khan and Yeasir Al Imran, Senior Deputy Executive Director Shahjada Salim were present at the ceremony among others.
