Unilever Bangladesh Limited has been the number one "Employer of Choice" across all sectors, for the business school graduates, for the last eight years.

The multinational consumer goods company is going to launch the 11th round of its flagship student competition BizMaestros with the theme "Power the Future."

The competition allows final year undergraduate students to experience real-life business challenges before entering the workforce.

However, students are facing uncertainty and missing out on the opportunity to create their opportunities and network in the corporate sector amid the pandemic.

So, Unilever Bangladesh has continued its campus-based activities on digital platforms since the beginning of the pandemic to support them.

To ensure learning opportunities for students in 2020, the multinational company has conducted various activities in more than 50 universities across the country to find diverse talents.

The first round of BizMaestros will begin on October 4 this year with the theme "Thriving in the New Normal," Unilever said.

Each team of three members will take up a business case and submit their solutions. And they will get support in the "mentoring" and "learning" sessions.

After three virtual rounds, BizMaestros will end in November with the grand finale.

The winners of the competition will get the chance to represent Bangladesh at Unilever's global platform Future Leaders' League 2021.

Also, they will get priority in the company's management trainee programme – Unilever Future Leaders programme.

Unilever Bangladesh Human Resources Director Sakshi Handa said, "We are going to start 'BizMaestros 2020' now to strengthen the future of the country and the youth. Over the past decade, it has become one of the largest business competitions in the country."

"Through the competition, the students learn from the best in the business world and are thus shaped to be future leaders."
