TARA Business Owners’ Fair ends in Dhaka

A total of 22 women entrepreneurs participated at the fair intended to support women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh

Brac Bank Ltd on Friday organised a two-day fair titled "TARA Business Owners' Fair" to promote products and services made by women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.

This was the first such fair intended to support women entrepreneurs, according to a press release.

A total of 22 women entrepreneurs put up stalls at the fair, which was open to visitors from 11:00am to 9:00pm on Friday and Saturday at the Little Steps Pre School in Gulshan, Dhaka. 

Farzana Khan, general manager of the SME Foundation, Sangita Khan, treasurer of Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Rojina Akter Mostafi, joint director of SME and Special Programmes Department at the Bangladesh Bank, and Selim RF Hussain, managing director and CEO of Brac Bank, formally inaugurated the fair on Friday.

Among others, Bilquis Jahan, head of HR and Mehruba Reza, head of women's banking segment TARA at Brac Bank, were also present at the event.
