Summit-Jera donates ambulance to Siraj-Khaleda Memorial Hospital

Summit Corporation Ltd and its partner Jera – Japan's largest independent power producer – have gifted an ambulance with high-flow nasal oxygen equipment to the Siraj-Khaleda Memorial Cantonment Board General Hospital which is managed by the Dhaka Cantonment Board.

On behalf of the hospital, Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman SGP SUP ndc psc, Area Commander HQ, Log Area, received the gift, reads a press release.

Lt Col (Retd) Muhammad Faruk Khan, praesidium member of Bangladesh Awami League, said, "I would like to thank Summit and Jera for their gift especially at a time when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged everyone to bolster preparation to fight the pandemic in wintertime."

The Board of Trustees also excused rents of the specialised doctors' chambers for seven months – between March and September 2020. It also appointed personnel, officiated disbursement of fees and agreed on implementing measures to improve hospital services.

Brigadier General Md Selim Mahmud ndc afwc psc, Station Commander, Lt Col Ahmed Daniel Islam, Director Admin, SKMCB General Hospital and Mohammed Golam Kibria, Cantonment Executive Officer (CEO) were also present at the event.
