90% RMG workers to come under digital wage service: Rubana

It will ensure their financial protection, secure transaction and financial literacy

Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) President Rubana Huq has said 90 percent Ready-Made Garments (RMG) workers will come under the digital wage service.

"Now 1.5 million apparel workers are getting digital wage service. Other 2.5 million workers will come under the service within 2021," Rubana Huq made the remark today at a programme titled "Digital Bangladesh Wage Summit' at Radisson Blue Hotel in Dhaka.

"It will ensure their financial protection, secure transaction and financial literacy," she added.
