RFL approves 23% cash dividend for 2019-20 financial year

Rangpur Foundry Ltd (RFL) has approved a 23% cash dividend for its shareholders for the financial year 2019-20. 

The approval came from the company's 40th annual general meeting (AGM) held virtually on Thursday. 

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman of the company; Rathendra Nath Paul, its managing director; Sabiha Amjad, director; Chowdhury Kamruzzaman, director on behalf Property Development Ltd; Md Abdus Salam FCA, independent director; Choudhury Atiur Rasul, director (accounts); Uzma Chowdhury, director (finance); Kishor Kumar Debnath, chief financial officer;and Muhammad Aminur Rahman, company secretary, among others joined the meeting.

A good number of shareholders of the company also attended the AGM.   

In the meeting, the shareholders thanked the company management for its achievements over the years and made valuable suggestions for the company's further improvement. 

They also reiterated their profound confidence in the management and operations of the company. 

In 2016, the company offered a 35% dividend to its shareholders. Since 2017, the company has been offering a 23% dividend to its shareholders every year.
