PwC to formulate national action plan for skill development

The National Skill Development Authority (NSDA) has appointed PwC Bangladesh with the responsibility of formulating the national action plan for skill development in the country.
PwC is a multinational professional services network of more than 250,000 people with its presence in 158 countries with goal to help businesses thrive.
The action-plan will act as a framework for achieve the country's target of making 15 million workers skilled by 2023.
As a part of the engagement, PwC will work with the National Skill Development Authority to collaborate with 23 different ministries, stakeholders in private sector, and NGOs that are involved with the business of skill development.
PwC will review the existing skill development framework and conduct workshops, as well as, developing a strategic roadmap for the country's skill development initiatives.
"We're committed to enable our youth with the necessary skill sets. NSDA coordinates, facilitates, monitors and certifies the skill trained persons in junior, mid and managerial levels, which will be covered in the action plan," said Faruque Hossain, executive chairman at the National Skill Development Authority.
"This initiative will be a marquee project, which will help our youth to become employable, create a stable society, and make our country ready for the future," said Mamun Rashid, managing partner at PwC Bangladesh.
