Pran bags $5.2m export orders from Germany fair

Pran, a leading food processing brand in Bangladesh bagged export orders amounting to $5.2 million at Anuga 2019 - one of the largest food and beverage exhibitions in the world.

Around 7,590 companies from 100 countries participated in the fair held at Koelnmesse Exhibition Center in Cologne, Germany. The five-day fair began on October 5. 

Pran has participated in the fair for the 12th time including this year, according to a press release issued on Thursday.

"The group displayed over 500 products, including 30 new ones in its two stalls at the fair," said Mizanur Rahman, chief operating officer at PRAN Export.

He also mentioned that Pran received a remarkable response from the buyers and confectionary, juice and bakery items were the center of attraction.

He also said traders and buyers from every corner of the globe participated in the exhibition. Traders displayed their products and buyers got an idea about different brands.

Kamruzzaman Kamal, marketing director at Pran-RFL Group said, "The main purpose of participating in the exhibition is to expand the export market. Because we want to spread our products all over the world. The Anuga Fair is a big platform in this regard. 

"Another reason behind the participation is to increase the number of Pran products in the famous chain shops across Europe. We also gather ideas about the latest trends in processed foods."

Currently, Pran Group is exporting its products to 141 countries across the globe. Moreover, Pran-RFL Group received numerous accolades for its contribution to Bangladesh's export sector.
