PHP Family to get Intellectual Property Protection Award

State minister for the cultural ministry will hand over the memento to a PHP representative at an online seminar on 23 April 

PHP Family, one of the leading industrial groups in the country, has been nominated for 'Intellectual Property Protection Award in recognition of the contributions to the protection and preservation of folk songs of Abdul Gafur Haali. 

State minister for the cultural affairs ministry KN Khaled will hand over the memento to a PHP representative at an online seminar at 3 pm on 23 April (Friday).

PHP Family Vice Chairman Mohammad Mohsin said Zafar Raja Chowdhury, registrar of copyright of the ministry, informed us about the matter on 13 April.

The cultural affairs ministry has introduced this honorary award since 2018 in recognition of the contributions for the protection of intellectual property in the country.

The ministry has taken this initiative to attract creative personalities, intellectuals, eminent artists and writers and those who are closely involved in creative activities in the education and research profession.

As the first artist in Chattogram, 300 songs and six regional plays by legendary artist Abdul Gafur Haali received a copyright certificate.

Mohammad Mohsin, vice chairman of Abdul Gafur Haali Research Center, and its secretary journalist Nasir Uddin Haider received the copyright certificates of Gafur Haali's songs and plays at the National Library in Dhaka on 23 January this year.
