NRBC Bank celebrates 8th founding anniversary 

NRB Commercial (NRBC) Bank has entered its ninth year after it launched the journey in 2013.

The bank is celebrating its 8th founding anniversary with the slogan 'The dream is to be a partner in development of soil and people in the 9th year', reads a press release. 

It will work to meet the needs of the backward people in the next one year on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence and the Mujib Year.

Founded on 2 April, NRBC Bank, which is 100% owned by expatriates, started commercial activities on April 18 in 2013. 

The bank has taken new initiatives for the development of the village. The aim of this initiative is to create employment in the villages and provide low interest capital to the villagers.

At the end of March 2021, the bank's collected deposits stood at Tk 9,400 crore. Of this, Tk7,150 crore has been disbursed as loan. After eight years, the number of customers of the bank is now more than 6 lakh.

Congratulating all the stakeholders, the bank's Managing Director (MD) Md Mukhter Hossain said, "The bank has been managing the needs of the people for the last 8 years. We will continue to work for the welfare of the state. In 50 years of independence, the goal of our banking services is the economic liberation of the marginalised.
