Mozaffar Hossain Spinning’s rotor unit resumes full operation

The rotor unit of Mozaffar Hossain Spinning Mills is currently operating at full capacity after remaining partially closed for three years.

The closed part of the unit resumed operation from 6 April this year, said the company on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) websites on Wednesday.

Mozaffar Hossain Spinning runs a business of 100% export oriented woven fabrics cotton yarn.

Earlier, on 15 March, the premier bourse DSE sent a query for the clarification on the present status of production and operation of the company.

In response to the query, the company said its ring unit's capacity was 20 metric tonne per day and it was running fully. Its rotor unit's production capacity is 16 metric tonnes per day and 50% of it was running. At that time, the company expected to resume full operation of the rotor unit by 1 April.

Mozaffar Hossain Spinning was listed on the stock exchanges in 2014 and placed under the 'B' category.

In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, the company incurred a loss of Tk11.98 crore and its loss per share stood at Tk1.19.

In the previous year, its net loss was Tk9.56 crore and loss per share was Tk0.95.

In the first half of 2020-2021, the company incurred a loss of Tk3.89 crore and its loss per share stood at Tk0.39.
