Iftekhar Alam becomes new CEO of LankaBangla investments

Iftekhar started his career as a research associate in Zenith Investments Limited

LankaBangla Investments Limited has appointed Iftekhar Alam as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

Alam was previously the acting CEO of the company for more than a year. Prior to that, Alam was the head of Primary Market Services.

He has almost a decade of experience in the arena of investment banking. His business acumen, diversified work experience, in-depth knowledge of the industry along with excellent rapport with clients and market intermediaries would lead the merchant bank further and help escalate growth in the industry, reads a press release.

His vast expertise includes arrangement of private equity, managing IPO and rights offering, business strategy, negotiation, corporate restructuring, financial modelling and valuation, transaction structuring and closure, portfolio management and strategic planning.

Alam started his career as a research associate in Zenith Investments Limited and in 2011, joined LankaBangla Investments Limited as management training officer.

He completed BBA and MBA in Finance from the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka.
