Customers can buy train tickets through bKash app

From now on, customers can buy train tickets using the bKash app. Recently, bKash has integrated the payment and processing of e-ticketing for train in its app.

Buying train ticket is another addition to bKash app besides Pay Bill, Add Money, Mobile Recharge and others services, says a press release.

Bangladesh Railway's e-ticketing service is now connected to the bKash app with a micro-site, making it possible for the customers to carry out the whole ticketing process in the bKash app.

Customers need to follow some simple steps to buy train tickets. On top of the bKash app's user interface, there is "Tickets" icon where "Train" and "Bangladesh Railway" options should be selected subsequently.

Then, customers will land on the e-ticketing service screen of the Bangladesh Railway. From here, they need to select route, date, class and passenger number to check available train and seat number.

If any train seat is available, registered customer needs to tap on "Purchase" and insert user ID and password of the railway's e-ticketing service.

Then a bKash payment gateway pops up. By inserting bKash account number, OTP and PIN, customer can finish the process of buying train ticket.

Launched in 2011, bKash, a joint venture of BRAC Bank, US-based Money in Motion, the International Finance Corporation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Ant Financial – operates as a payment service provider offering a broad range of digital financial services under regulation of the Bangladesh Bank.
