Citi makes continued progress to bring more diversity at all levels

Citi is making continuous progress in the efforts to bring more diversity to Citi at all levels.

Citibank, NA Bangladesh is celebrating the South Asia Diversity Week and International Women's day 2021 focusing on diversity, collaboration, and inclusion. With this year's International Women's Day (IWD) theme, #ChoosetoChallenge, Citi is organising series of internal events to enable cultural diversity through fostering young leaders and drive inclusive partnership and collaboration across the organisation.

Citi, the world's most global bank has appointed Jane Fraser as the first female CEO of a Wall Street bank as of March 1 of this year. Currently, Citi's board consists of 50% female and 50% male.

Championing inclusivity, diversity and equality remain an integral part of Citi's community initiatives as well. In recent years, Citi Bangladesh has supported underprivileged young women with technical education and employability skills for over 2300 students.

N Rajashekaran (Shekar), Citi Country Officer, Bangladesh said, "Citi is proud to witness 50 years of Bangladesh's rapid growth in empowering women and achieving gender equality through noteworthy progress in various socio-economic indicators including literacy rate and maternal mortality rate. While driving diversity across all levels of the organisation, we also continue our efforts to partner the country's progress and create economic opportunities for Bangladeshi women".
