Brac Bank expands employee banking services beyond cities
Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, deputy managing director of Brac Bank, and Mohammad Enamul Kabir, executive director of RDRS Bangladesh, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations

All employees of RDRS Bangladesh, from now on, will now enjoy exclusive employee banking services from Brac Bank Limited, following an agreement between the two companies.
Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, deputy managing director of Brac Bank, and Mohammad Enamul Kabir, executive director of RDRS Bangladesh, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at a ceremony in Dhaka on September 22, 2019. The agreement has formally launched Brac Bank's plan to expand its employee banking services beyond metropolitan cities of the country.
RDRS Bangladesh is a multi-sector development agency established in 1972 that provides development support in more than 22 districts.
The employees of RDRS Bangladesh in Rangpur, Sylhet, Naogaon, Jashore and Dhaka will avail salary disbursement and all retail loan facilities like credit cards, home loans, auto loans and personal loans from Brac Bank.
Other people from RDRS Bangladesh who were present at the ceremony included Joarder Tahmina Afroze, director of finance; and RM Fuhad, head of microfinance. And others from Brac Bank included Nazmur Rahim, head of alternate banking channels; Syed Abdul Momen, head of SME banking; Ekram Kabir, head of communications; Sajid Rahman, head of large corporate unit-1; Khondker Emdadul Haq, head of employee banking; SM Saiful Islam, head of agricultural finance and MFI finance; Shafayet Hussain Ahmed, branch and cluster manager, Sylhet and Dhaka outer region; and Badrul Haque, branch manager.
Commenting on the agreement, Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, said: "Our employee banking services are more than just disbursing salaries to corporate executives; it offers an all-in-one banking platform to them as well. It makes life easier for the officials through convenient banking solutions and bundle offers consisting of multiple products and services at preferential rates and lucrative privileges. This is a secured and hassle-free way of banking not just for employees, but for employers as well."
