Beximco posts 131% revenue surge in Q2 of FY21

Beximco Limited's revenue jumped by 131% and it's net profit also rose by 670% in the second quarter of this fiscal year.
The company is engaged in textile, IT, fisheries and power businesses.
In the October-December period last year, it's sales rose by 131% to Tk1,003 crore and net profit jumped by 670% to Tk155.76 crore.
A company official said Beximco's business increased significantly because of its coronavirus protection equipment business, like PPEs and masks.
In the July-December period, it's net sales stood at Tk1,656 crore, net profit Tk167.79 crore and earnings per share Tk1.92.
