Zia Uddin Haider has been elected as President of Rotaract South Asia MDIO

Past district rotaract representative (PDRR) Zia Uddin Haider of Rotaract District Organization (RDO), Rotary International District (RID) 3282 Bangladesh, has been elected as a President of Rotaract South Asia multi district international organization (MDIO) for the Rotary Year 2022-23.

PDRR Zia Uddin Haider was unanimously elected as a president at the election held during a training program for District Rotaract Representatives organised by the Rotaract Zone Institute (RZI) in Gujarat, India, said a press release on Sunday.

He is the first President from Bangladesh of Rotaract South Asia MDIO.

Previously, Zia Uddin Haider was the Joint Secretary of Rotaract South Asia in the Rotary Year 2018-19 and the General Secretary in the Rotary Year 2019-20.

PDRR Zia Uddin Haider led the Rotaract Club of Chittagong Rose Garden as a President in the Rotary Year 2011-12 and the Rotaract District Organization, Rotary International District 3282, Bangladesh as a District Rotaract Representative (DRR) in the Rotary Year 2017-18.

Rotaract South Asia MDIO is currently operating its activities in eight countries, which include Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan.

There are a total of 41 Rotaract Districts in these 8 countries.
