Zero tolerance towards any unethical activity: ACC officials told
Officials being monitored through technology
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) chairman Iqbal Mahmud has warned ACC officials against unethical activities and asked them to complete ongoing investigations.
‘We warned you several times in different ways, but we haven’t noticed any positive changes. This is the last time I warn you to correct yourselves,’’ said the chairman, pointing towards a group of top and mid-level officers in a meeting at the ACC office on Tuesday.
The chairman also said officials are being monitored administratively and technologically and stern action will be taken against the non-complying individuals.
Earlier on Tuesday, ACC commissioner Mohammad Mojammel Haque Khan submitted a special report on the railway sector to the Railway Minister, Mohammad Nurul Islam Sujon.
The report points out 10 sources of corruption in the railway sector and includes 15 recommendations to improve the situation.
