World Vision Bangladesh and  City Alo Bank hold ‘Visionary Adda’

World Vision Bangladesh in partnership with City Alo Bank organised a Visionary Adda (informal discussion) marking International Women's Day 2021 at City Centre, Dhaka.

An award-giving ceremony took place where child activists Dola Akter Reba, Lamia Akter Mim, Bithe Rani Mondol, Kotha Akter, MD Jahid Iqbal, Akhi Akter, Roma Bormon, Apurbo Chandra Sarker were awarded for their outstanding performance on child protection during and post Covid-19 pandemic, reads a press release.

Chandan Z Gomes, senior director (Operations and Program Quality) at World Vision Bangladesh, kicked off the informal adda (informal discussion) with his welcome speech.

Speaking at the event, the chief guest of the event Suresh Bartlett, national director at World Vision Bangladesh, said: "We all need to be feminist not because women aren't strong, but we need to change our attitude towards them. And, we can achieve that in our organisation, country and all over the world to see the transformational development we are looking for."

Mariam Javed Juhi, head of City Alo said, their bank's grievance committee works to ensure that no female employee is a victim of exploitation and deprivation at her workplace."
