Former Mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation, Sayeed Khokon has questioned about the market price of the incumbent, Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.

He came up with the remark on Monday, responding to an apparent threat of defamation lawsuit by current DSCC Mayor Taposh.

A press release, signed by his public relation officer (PRO) Habibul Islam, stated, "Former Mayor and Awami League's central leader Md Sayeed Khokon has asked, what is the market value of Taposh's prestige?"

"Khokon said this over the incumbent Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh's remark – a defamation case will be filed against Khokon," explained the release.

Sayeed Khokon further said that he will come to know about the price after obtaining the detailed case statement.

He also vowed to take to the street to settle the issue, in addition to legal actions.
