Western part of the capital and some adjacent areas will face a gas outage for 12 hours from Thursday 8pm to Friday 8am.

“The supply will be turned off for scheduled maintenances,” a spokesperson of Gas Transmission Company Ltd (GTCL) said on Thursday.

The areas are -- west part of Shyamoli, Gabtoli, Dhanmondi, Jigatola, Lalbagh, Mirpur, Mohammadpur, Hazaribagh and Kamrangirchar.

In the meantime, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited director (operations) Md Kamruzzaman Khan said, "Gas supply from Aminbazar to Dhaka metropolitan and outskirts of Savar will remain shut due to GTCL’s maintenance work."

Household, commercial and industrial consumers will face the disruption, states a Titas press release saying ‘sorry’ to the customers for the inconvenience.
