The University Teachers' Network, a platform for private and public university teachers, protested the harassment and arrest of Prothom Alo Senior Reporter Rozina Islam.

They demanded her earliest release in a statement today signed by around 100 teachers of various public universities.

University Teachers' Network Member Prof Bokhtiar Ahmed, a faculty of Rajshahi University Anthropology Department, told The Business Standard that they have put out a set of demands protesting journalist Rozina Islam's arrest.

Their four-point demands include ensuring the unconditional release of Rozina Islam, bringing those officials to justice who harrassed and confined her, abolishing the Official Secrets Act 1923 alongside Digital Security Act 2018 and publishing a white paper on the health ministry's graft.
