United Commercial Bank robbed in Chattogram

A branch of United Commercial Bank is suspected to have been robbed in Chattogram. 

On Saturday, the police found three locks of the bank's main gate were broken, with a new lock put in their place.  The law enforcers suspect the robbery might have taken place on Friday night. 

Sudip Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of Double Mooring police station said that tenants who live in the building where the branch is located had dialed the 999 helpline after discovering the bank's security guard nearly unconscious around Saturday noon.

"The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is working to figure out people behind this offence," he added.
