UNHCR donates tents among flood victims
A tent donation ceremony was held in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has donated 3,500 emergency tents for thousands of flood-affected families across Bangladesh.
The UNHCR made the announcement through a press release on Wednesday and a tent donation ceremony was held in Cox’s Bazar on Thursday morning.
The UN body handed over the tents to Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) for assisting Bangladeshi families throughout the country who have been affected by torrential monsoon rains and floods earlier this month.
The event was attended by UNHCR Head of Operations Marin Din Kajdomcaj, Cox’s Bazar Additional Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Afsar and BDRCS Director of Disaster Risk Management Md Belal Hossain.
