UL Solutions delegation meets BGMEA President

The US company tests a wide range of products and certifies standards.

A delegation of UL Solutions, a leading American safety science company, met with BGMEA President Faruque Hassan on Monday to discuss enhancing areas of collaboration and providing adequate safety solutions and testing services to garment factories.

The delegation was led by Charan Singh, senior director, Golam Sarwar, Bangladesh country manager, Sharif Mollah, business development manager for emerging markets, and Rashed Ahmed, head of business at the company's Bangladesh unit, says a press release. 

BGMEA Director Neela Hosna Ara was also present at the meeting held at BGMEA Complex in Uttara in the capital.

They discussed how UL Solutions supports Bangladeshi garment factories in remaining up to the mark on industry safety requirements.

The discussion also focused on how UL Solutions could support the factories in complying with regulations and standards and reduce environmental impacts.

UL Solutions delivers testing, inspection and certification services, together with software products and advisory offerings to support businesses from around the world on product innovation and output growth.
