The British High Commission to Dhaka celebrated Commonwealth Day 2020 on Monday 9 March at their premises. The programme was hosted by the British High Commissioner Robert Chatterton Dickson.

This year, the theme for the Commonwealth Day was "delivering a common future". The High Commissioner emphasised young people's engagement and efforts to address issues that impact the common future of Bangladesh and other Commonwealth states.

The programme had presence of 150 successful Bangladeshi youths from different verticals. They represented platforms like Bangladeshi Commonwealth Network, Chevening scholars, British Council Active Citizens and members of FameLab, Jaago Foundation, Youth Opportunity, BYLC and other relevant organisations.
