Two workers electrocuted in Dhaka

They were rushed to Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital immediately after the accident.

Two construction workers died from electrocution at an under-construction building site in Rayerbazar area of Dhaka on Sunday.

The deceased are Rajon, 25, from Noakhali, and Asif, 26, from Madaripur.

Co-worker Alamgir Hossain said Rajon and Asif came in contact with live electric wire while painting a two-storey building in Durga Temple Lane area of Rayerbazar around 11:30am.

They were rushed to Bangladesh Medical College and Hospital immediately after the accident.

Later, they were transferred to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where the duty doctor declared them dead, said DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia.
