Two Rohingyas killed in ‘gunfight’ with BGB in Cox’s Bazar

Two Rohingya criminals have been killed in a reported gunfight with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Palong Khali area of Ukhiya in Cox's Bazar.

The deceased are - Mohammad Ismail, 28 and Md Helal Uddin, 20. Both of them are from camp 22 of Unchiprang, Teknaf.

The gunfight took place on early hour of Monday, said Cox's Bazar BGB-34 Captain Lieutenant Colonel Ali Haider Azad Ahmed.

"We seized 20,000 pieces of Yaba, a single barrel gun. Two round of cartridges and an identity card issued by UN Refugee Agency UNHCR," he added.
