Two pedestrians killed in Mymensingh road accident

Two pedestrians were killed after being hit by a truck at Signboard area of Trishal upazila in Mymensingh early today.

The deceased were Fazlu Mia, 50 and Alal Uddin, 65, both hailing from Narayanpur village of the upazila.

The truck also damaged 33-KV electric pole of Trishal Palli Bidyut Samity, which disrupted electricity connection in Trishal.

Station Officer of Trishal Fire Services, Munim Sarowar said the truck plunged into a pit after killing the pedestrians on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge of Trishal Police Station, Azizur Rahman said the truck driver and helper fled away from the spot.
