Two more Hefazat leaders arrested

Police have arrested Hefazat-e-Islam central assistant general secretary Khorshed Alam Kashemi, and Khelafat Mazlish Joint Secretary, Mufti Shorfat Hossain.
Confirming the matter, Mahbub Alam, joint commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (detective branch) said, police arrested Kashemi from Mohammadpur, and Shorfat Hossain from Vatara, in the capital.
Intelligence officials said there were multiple cases against the two for the 2013 mayhem at Shapla Chattar, Motijheel. The Wari zonal team of DB police arrested Kashemi from Mohammadpur and the Gulshan DB unit arrested Shorafat Hossain from Vatara on the basis of secret information.
Several central leaders of Hefazat-e-Islam, including its Joint Secretary General Mamunul Haque, were arrested in the last few days.
