Two people have been killed in separate gunfights in Gazipur and Narayanganj districts on Wednesday.

In Gazipur, an alleged robber has been killed and a constable was injured in a reported gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) patrol team early Wednesday.

The deceased Masud Parvez, 33, was resident of Barmi union of the upazila and injured RAB constable is Sohrab Hossain.  There are 12 cases filed against Masud with different police stations.

RAB-1 Assistant Director Md Kamruzzaman said, "RAB seized one foreign-made pistol, one shooter gun and 6 shotguns from the spot."

The body was sent to Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmad Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

In Narayanganj, an alleged top terrorist Tuhin alias Chapati Tuhin was killed in a reported gunfight with RAB-11 at Saidpur.

Assistant superintendent of police and Kalibazar RAB Camp In-Charge Mashiur Rahman said, "Tuhin, of Deobhog, was arrested from Cumilla on Tuesday night. On information given by Tuhin, the team conducted a drive at Saidpur to recover guns and drugs."

Sensing RAB's presence, his cohorts opened fire at the team, forcing them to fire back.

Tuhin, second in commander of Hasan Bahini, died on spot after being shot during the gun battle.

His body was sent in Narayanganj General Hospital for autopsy.
