Twins wed twins

Habibur Rahman did not anticipate that his twin daughters, Trina Akhter and Trisha Akhter, would get married to twins.

The girls, from Shaliakanda village in Phulpur upazila of Mymensingh, got married to twin brothers from Kakni village in Tarakanda upazila under the same district on Friday.

Rezaul Karim Hadi, father of the twin boys said, "We came to know of the girls via a relative. Then we sent the proposals to their family and, after much discussion, the wedding date was set."

The brides' father Habibur Rahman said, "I talked to the girls after receiving the marriage proposal. We moved forward with their permission."

Many who were not invited to the wedding still came to see the brides and grooms. The newlyweds asked for blessings from everyone.
