The railway communication between Dhaka and the country's southern and northern parts has been suspended following the derailment of a freight train in Pabna.
The disruption occurred after 10 bogies of the train separated from the engine at 4:30pm near Boral Bridge Station in Bhangura area of the district.
Due to the derailment, at least four passenger trains remained stuck at different stations.
A rescue train is working to restore the train service since 6:00pm.
