Three detained with firearms from Khilgaon

Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday arrested three people with six firearms including an AK-22 rifle and 47 round of bullets from Khilgaon area of Dhaka.

The arrestees are Khan Md Faisal, Ziaul Haque Rubel and his brother Jahed Al Abedin.

“We produced the arrestees before the court seeking seven-day remand for each and the court granted four days for interrogation,” Shahidur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner of DMP.

He said another member of the gang fled from the scene during the drive. Police officials are trying to identify and arrest him.
