Thousands join victory rally in Chapainawabganj

The district administration in Chapainawabganj on Tuesday arranged a victory rally.
The second edition of such celebration was organised to show due respect to the national flag and inform the new generation about its importance.
As many as 20,000 people including freedom fighters, students, law enforcers and government employees joined the programme. They gathered on the district administration premises in the morning and waved the national flags together.
The freedom fighters chanted slogans to encourage the gathering.
Freedom fighters' representative Md Ruhul Amin addressed the function and thanked the district administration for such arrangement. "It is the ever largest gathering of the freedom fighters in Chapainawabganj district," he commented.
A procession was brought out which paraded the key points of the town and ended at the Nawabganj Government College ground.
