Besides, the staggering Tk1,000 crore payment to BTRC did not affect Grameenphone's share prices yesterday

Mobile operator Grameenphone is going to reduce the prices of some of its internet packages and will introduce some new packages with reasonable prices.

In a statement, the largest telecom operator of the country said, "Price of a few internet and internet associated packs will be re-evaluated for FlexiPlan customers and also current volume portfolio will be revamped."

The announcement came a day after Grameenphone paid Tk1,000 crore to the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission today over its disputed audit claim.

In the meantime, the Appellate Division today ordered Grameenphone to pay remaining Tk1,000 crore to BTRC within three months out of its previous order to pay Tk2,000 crore.

However, the staggering Tk1,000 crore payment to the telecom regulator did not affect Grameenphone's share prices, rather it rose by 8 percent on Sunday.
