Banglalink has expanded its 4G network across the country aiming to provide customers with seamless connectivity.

Along with upgrading nearly 1,000 sites to 4G, Banglalink has expanded its coverage to another 400 locations.

An event was held recently at the Banglalink head office in Gulshan in the capital to celebrate this development.

Present at the event were Upanga Dutta, chief commercial officer, and Pierre Boutros Obeid, chief technology officer, along with other senior members of the telecom firm.

Following 4G launch in the country back in 2018, Banglalink expanded its network and managed to register positive quarterly results.

In the second quarter of 2019, Banglalink's revenue grew by 5.4% from the same period the previous year. The growth has been driven by a remarkable 28% increase in data revenue over the same period.

Upanga Dutta said, "Banglalink is consistently striving to expand its 4G footprint in a bid to unlock high quality digital facilities for more and more customers. The expansion of 4G technology and network coverage is a notable accomplishment for us as it shows how fast we are rolling out our network across the country."

"Banglalink will stay committed to providing updated services to customers at manageable rate", he added.
