Suspected drug peddler held with 60kg marijuana in Feni

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Thursday detained a drug dealer with 60 kilograms of marijuana and a car from Feni.

The detained, Md Suman Miah, 32, was held from Mahipal area of the district, according a press release issued by the RAB.

Being tipped of that a large amount of drug was being smuggled through the area to Chattogram, a team of RAB-7 made a checkpost on the road and began searched every passng vehicle.

The RAB team halted a car for suspicious movement and found the large cache of marijuana in the back seat of the car.

According to RAB sources, the estimated value of the marijuana is Tk6 lakh.

The detainee late confessed that he has been smuggling marijuana from the border areas to different parts of the country.
