Strict Covid-19 restrictions imposed in Rajshahi

Rajshahi administration has imposed indefinite Covid-19 restrictions in the district from 7am Thursday.

None will be allowed to leave their houses from 7 pm to 8 am without any emergency including requirements of medicines, treatment, burial.

Restaurants, hotels can sell food through online and dining at the restaurants won't be allowed. 

All shopping malls and shops will remain closed, but wholesale and retail shops can operate their business online. In such cases, employees must follow the health protocols and no consumers can't go for onsite shopping.

Local administration will ensure sell of daily essentials and vegetables at open places from 8 am to 7 pm.

The use of masks must be ensured, mobile courts will be operated and legal action will be taken against the rule violators if necessary.

City corporations and municipalities will operate campaign to ensure the use of masks, social distancing and health guidelines in district levels to prevent transmission of Covid-19.

Emergency services like agricultural essentials (seeds, pesticides, equipment sets), food transportation, relief distribution, health services, vaccination, utility service, operation of seaports, fire service, telephone and internet, private security services will remain out of the purview of restriction.

Highest 20 worshipers will be allowed to offer prayers and participate in religious gatherings.
