Stage for Victory Day programme vandalised in Brahmanbaria

A group of miscreants have vandalised stage and furniture of a programme organised for marking the Victory day in Brahmanbaria on Monday morning.
According to local sources, the programme was scheduled to be held at Brahmanbaria Zila Parishad building at 11am but the miscreants attacked the scene around 9am.
Besides, the attackers tore the banners containing pictures of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
The freedom fighters staged protest immediately after the incident.
Brahmanbaria Zila Parishad Chairman Shafiqul Alam blamed an Awami League leader from the same district for the attack.
"We will take legal action in this regard," he said while briefing journalists.
"We are investigating the incident. Measures will be taken after investigation," said Muhammad Alamgir Hossain, additional superintendent of police (Administration and Crime) of Brahmanbaria.
