SSC examinee shot dead during Gopalganj clash

A SSC examinee was shot dead and 10 injured during a clash in Gopalganj today.
The deceased Roni Howlader, hailed from Bangram of Sadar upazila, reports Somoy TV. Roni was a student of Balakir Azah Paria High School.
Local people said members of Sheikh and Mollah clans of Bangram Purbopara locked into a fierce clash in the morning over past enmity.
Former union parishad member Azizur Sheikh of the Sheikh clan opened fire during the clash, leaving Roni dead on the spot.
Ten people from both the clans were injured in the clash.
Officer-in-charge of the Sadar Police Station Monirul Islam said, "Police reached the spot after hearing the news and brought the situation under control."
