SP’s car overturns in Feni, constable killed

The injured police officials were taken to a local hospital for treatment

A police constable was killed and Feni's Police Superintendent Khondkar Nurunnabi among three were injured as their car overturned on Dhaka-Chattogram highway last night.

The deceased is SP's bodyguard Azharul Islam. The other two injured are Additional Police Super Kazi Moniruzzaman and the driver Mong Sai Chakma.  

Feni Highway Police's Officer-in-Charge Abdul Awal said: "They were returning to Feni town after visiting Bogdadia police outpost in Sadar upazila."  

"The car skid off the road and overturned near Koska Bazar around 9pm when the driver lost control over the steering, leaving Azharul dead on the spot and others injured," the OC added.

The injured police officials were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Azharul's body was sent to Feni General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
