SME fair kicks off in Dhaka

In the 30 stalls of the fair, 100 entrepreneurs from 64 districts of the country are showcasing various local SME products

A three-day long SME Products Fair-2021 started at Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Bhaban at Motijheel in the capital Monday.

The Bangladesh SME Forum and BSCIC are jointly organising the fair. BSCIC Chairman Mustaque Hassan inaugurated it as the chief guest.

The inaugural ceremony of the fair was presided over by Bangladesh SME Forum President Chashi Mamun and was also attended by Additional Secretary to the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Rezaul Islam.

There are 30 stalls at the fair featuring traditional items manufactured by small entrepreneurs of the country. The products include sarees, clothes, three pieces, leather and leather-made products, handicraft and cottage industry products, processed food items, boutiques, batik, honey, utensils and jute items.

The fair will remain open to all from 10am to 7pm everyday.
