Internet users of the country may face slow services on 28 May due to a maintenance work in the submarine cable under the Bay of Bengal.

The disruption in the data services will take place from 2 pm to 10 pm, according to a press release signed by Md Shahidul Islam managing director of Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL).

BSCCL authorities have plan to conclude the maintenance work within the eight hours which can slow the internet speed, he said.

All circuits of Cox's Bazar landing station will remain suspended during the maintenance work, he added.
