Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested six members of banned militant outfit 'Allah'r Dal' from Polashbari area of Gaibandha on Monday.

The arrested are - Babul Khondokar, 35, Atour Hossen, 67, Abdul Aziz alias Babu, 39, Osman Goni, 56, Abu Taher Prodhan, 50 and Hossein Prodhan,35.

RAB seized mobile phones, documents and books from their possession.

"The arrested members were preparing to carry out an attack under the command of their leader. They have been involved in militant activity since 2013," Assistant Police Commissioner and Assistant Director of RAB-2 Jahid Hossan told The Business Standard.

"A case was filed against the arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act at Polashbari Police Station," he added.
