Two boats carrying a bridal party capsized in Padma River in Rajshahi's Sreerampur area today.
The body of a six-year-old girl named Moriom was found while at least 26 passengers remained missing since the accident.
"The bridal party came from Khanpurchar on two boats to attend a marriage program. The boats capsized due to sudden turbulent waves while they were returning," River Police Inspector Mehedi Hasan told The Business Standard.
"Ten swam to the shore and 26 passengers, including 6 children and 17 women, remain missing," he added.
