Second janaza of lawmaker Badal held in Chattogram

Badal’s body was brought to the city after the first janaza in Dhaka Saturday

The second namaz-e-janaza of Mayeen Uddin Khan Badal, a freedom fighter and lawmaker of Chattogram-8, was held at the Jamia Tul Falah ground after Maghrib prayer in the city on Saturday. 

The younger brother of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal leader Badal confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, Chattogram Deputy Commissioner Elius Hossain along with other high up officials took part in the janaza.  

The district administration offered a guard of honor to Badal, a third time elected lawmaker, after the completion of the janaza.

Badal's body was taken to the port city after the first janaza in Dhaka Saturday. He will be buried in his own village after the third and fourth namaz-e-janaza scheduled to be held in Boalkhali Sirazul Islam Degree College ground and in the village respectively. 

Badal breathed his last at Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences Hospital in India on November 7. The body of Badal was brought to Dhaka on Friday.
