No entry into station without ticket: Railway Minister

Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan today said passengers without tickets will not be allowed to enter the station.

"Fencing projects are underway at major stations across the country to control access so that people cannot enter the station without tickets," the minister said while inspecting railway stations today.

The minister said there would be a double line from Joydebpur to Ishwardi and Jamalpur. Besides, work is underway on the fourth line from Dhaka to Tongi and double line from Tongi to Joydebpur.

Once the double line is completed, more trains will be able to run in Dhaka, the minister added.

Replying to a question, the minister said, "The number of trains is not increasing during Eid-ul-Adha. It will continue as it is now."
