RMCH intern doctors on indefinite strike
They have said they will continue the strike until their demands, including workplace security, are met

Intern doctors of Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) have gone on an indefinite strike after a dispute over discharging a patient on Thursday night.
According to hospital sources, Shahidul Islam, a ward boy of the Cardiology Department – ward no.36 – went to Assistant Registrar Dr Habib to get a signature on a discharge paper but the doctor sent him to an intern doctor as he was busy.
The ward boy went to an intern doctor who then got into an altercation with the doctor as he told him that he was busy.
Following this incident, all intern doctors of the hospital went on the strike for various demands, including workplace security, said Sanaul Huda Riyadh, president of Intern Doctors' Association of RMCH.
They will continue the strike until their demands are met, he added.
